Nickolas, oh how my heart aches each time I turn around and look at your pictures around the house. you were so special to me and we shared a brother and sister bond yet you were like a son I never had. I love you and miss you dearly.. things are just not the same without our main character in this story which is you, but continue to watch over us and allow us to feel your presence all around...especially your baby lala she misses you dearly and it hurts so bad when she began to think about you and starts to cry. love Big sis, april!

To the parents and family of Nick,
My heart is broken and I share my deepest condolences as I have just received word of Nick's passing. I am praying for the Lord's peace and strength for the family during this difficult time.
Nick was indeed so special, so smart, and even at such a young age, had a heart for God. I remember when you all moved to Tallahassee and Nick entered my 3rd grade class at Bethel Christian Academy. He was one of my favorite students and was really like a son to me while he was in my class. He had such a caring spirit and a strong personality. I remember one day in class, he stood up in front of the class and preached to the kids. Right after that, the entire class just came together and prayed, all because Nick felt led to share with the class. Yes, this was in the 3rd grade! That one event is one that I will never forget!
Our comfort is knowing that Nick is in heaven and that we will see him again. So for the family, I pray with you and I grieve with you. Your son will always hold a special place in my heart.

So many hearts in Woodland Drives neighborhood weep with Nick's parents and all who love him. Shared suffering makes family of us all, and Nick has become our son and brother and cousin, too. May God hold him and you who love him best in the hollow of His hand.
