WILMINGTON -- Micah James Dupuis, 19, a resident of Wimmelman Road died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, in Brookline, as a result of injuries sustained in a logging accident.
He was born in Greenfield, Mass., on Dec. 11, 1986, the youngest son of Bernard and Lynn (Hilchey) Dupuis. He received his education in Wyoming and Wilmington schools.
Mr. Dupuis was doing what he loved when he was killed on Saturday. He had dreamed of being a logger since he was a child and joining the family business, Dupuis Family Logging. His father and two brothers were working with him when the accident occurred.
He enjoyed anything with a motor in it, especially trucks. He was a member of the Northeast Truck Pullers Association and was to receive his third overall points championship trophy this month. He also enjoyed drag racing, doing burn-outs with his street truck, and snowmobiling.
As an outdoorsman, he liked to go hunting and fishing. He was especially fond of Wyoming, which was his favorite state, for fishing.
His family was very important to him and he maintained a strong family bond with them. He was a member of the Wilmington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
Mr. Dupuis leaves his parents, Bernard and Lynn Dupuis of Wilmington; two brothers, Aaron and wife Melissa Dupuis of Wilmington and Sean Dupuis of Wilmington; the love of his life, Sara Ashcraft, who he was to marry in the future; paternal grandparents Ovide and Joanne Dupuis of Whitingham, maternal grandparents Robert and Shirley Hilchey of East Arlington; great-grandmother Edith Houle of Whitingham; three nephews, Dylan, Connor and Caleb Dupuis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister, Danielle, and a grandmother, Katherine Dupuis.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m at the Wilmington Kingdom Hall, Route 100, in Whitingham. He will be buried next to his sister in the Dupuis family lot in the Sadawga Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the COVEY & ALLEN FUNERAL HOME, 44 East Main St., Wilmington, tonight from 5-8, when the family will be present.
Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made to NewBrook Fire and Rescue, in recognition of their heroic efforts to save Mr. Dupuis' life. Donations may be sent in care of Covey & Allen Funeral Home, P.O. Box 215, Wilmington, VT 05363.

Dearest Barnard and Lynn, as well as the entire dupris family.
Our hearts go out to you all of you in sympothy and prayre. We can't imagain what you must be going through at this sad time in your life. In a wink of an eye, he will be here with us again. hold on to the hope the Gods promises. Lean on HIM, and try your best to keep busy. Time will heal a little, but only the hope, will make all the pain go away, forever. Charish your fond memories in him, and realize that, we can hold him in our arms for a little while, but hold him in our hearts forever. Much warm love,
