For my wonderful Dad. As my Uncle, and cousin said the Lord never made a better man. You are and always will be in my heart forever.
I love you Dad.

I will miss seeing Uncle Ted at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia when I visit my husband (his nephew) Bob. Uncle Ted helped Bob adjust to the nursing home setting and always gave us a big smile and wave when he saw us. "Teddy" was a favorite with the nursing staff as he spoke to everyone he encountered, always with a gentle smile.
I am so grateful for the kindness Uncle Ted conveyed as we transitioned to a new stage in our marriage. I believe he was instrumental in helping Bob adjust to the nursing home setting. I will never forget the support and love shown by his children either. Not only was Ted a good man, but together with his loving wife, our Aunt Miriam, he raised a wonderful family.

My dad loved going to the Farr brothers service station. Unless he was out of town, he bought his gas at no other station and took his car there for repairs. Blessings and condolences to the Farr family on the loss of their patriarch.

Ted and his brothers were a great bunch of guys, and were some of the best car guys in our area. I first met Ted and his brothers while I was working for Colin Williams at Greece Garage and continued to see them through my time working at the local auto parts stores, Barnard, Sherman Battery, & Meisenzahl.
I have many fond memories of that time and the neighbor hood and the Farr brother.

Wow. . . I am compelled to share a memory. My father introduced me to the Farr brothers when a young lad. My first car was a 1953 Chevy coupe; Ted showed me a little trick for verifying that the timing and dwell were "just right". He asked me to take a nickel out of my pocket and hand it to him. He then balanced that nickel, edge on, atop the radiator cap. That nickel stayed perfectly still - no movement. He then stated that the engine was running to perfection, thanks to his precise settings after the professional "seat of the pants" tune up he had provided. Those guys were a wonderful part of the Britton Road/Dewey Avenue area when I was "coming of age".
