NANCY E. SMRZ (Age 73)
On December 24, 2014 of Bowie, Maryland. Beloved wife of Richard F. Smrz; loving mother to Andrew F. Smrz; sister to Anna Howard (John) and Edna Kaylani. Also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Nancy taught for a number of years at West Virginia School for the Deaf, Baltimore Public School's Program for Multi-Handicapped Deaf, and was a substitute teacher at Gallaudet University's Kendall and Model Schools for the Deaf. Nancy held memberships in International Catholic Deaf Association (ICDA), Gallaudet University Alumni Association, Maryland Deaf Seniors and Deaf Seniors of America. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Deaf Catholic Church, 7202 Buchanan St., Landover Hills, MD on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Nancy's memory to St. Francis of Assisi Deaf Catholic Church. Dick and Andy:
I am saddened of Nancy's passing. I cherished the moments twice of being her back-up driver for delivery of Andy during early mornings to the Winchester hospital. Godspeed to both of you in recovering griefs...I just lose my friend recently.
