Addie Mae McCarty McCormick LEESVILLE Addie Mae McCarty McCormick, 89, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, in the Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Batesburg Cemetery conducted by Rev. Andrew Fallaw and Rev. Sandra King. Pallbearers are Jamie Shealy, Larry Sawyer, Teddy Priester, Steven Stone, Anthony Head and Allen Oxendine. Mrs. McCormick was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late Ben and Addie Mae McCarty. She was married to the late James Albert McCormick. She attended East Side Baptist Church and volunteered with the church. She was very social and enjoyed family yard sales and flea markets. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Earl McCormick, Russell (Tori) McCormick; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Kenny) Martin, Eula Mae (David) Shealy, Diane (James) Glover; brothers, Will and Fel McCarty; sisters, Lois (Dewey) Smith, Anna Gunter; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Ed McCarty; sisters, Mary Estile Duncan and Ernstene Norris. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter, Eula Mae Shealy of Leesville.
