Amy Keck Obituary

Amy Geneux Keck

Adeline Claire Keck

Amy Geneux Keck and her soon to be born daughter, Adeline Claire, died of complications of delivery on November 11, 2015 in Houston.

She married James (Jim) Keck on July 12, 2008. They were blessed with wonderful twins, William Thomas Keck and Audrey Catherine Keck on June 8, 2009. She was everything a wife and mother should be.

She was born July 10, 1974, in Shreveport to Loretta and Lynn Geneux. She was a loving and caring daughter. She was a wonderful big sister to her brother, Emile (Beth) Geneux and sister, Amanda Geneux (Jeff) Ericson, both of Shreveport.

She was a terrific aunt to Emile's daughters, Evelyn, Emmy, Georgia and Annabeth, and to Amanda's daughter, Amelia. She lived for her family.

She was also survived by her in-laws, Bill and Leona Keck of Houston, brother-in-law, John Keck of Boston and Helena Keck of Portland, Oregon.

A funeral mass was held for Amy and Adeline at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Officiated by Msgr. Earl Provenza. Amy and Adeline were buried in Holly Springs Cemetery near Coushatta, Louisiana.

Pallbearers were Jay Adcock, Clay Conly, Cullen Conly, Robert Kennedy, Cody Cowen and James Mijalis. Honorary pallbearer are Henley Hunter, Henry Conly, Alexander Mijalis and Eleni Mijalis.

She will be profoundly missed.

To all of the Geneux and Keck families,
For years I have known and admired The Geneux family. They were always involved in all of the activities at St Josephs while we were in school there. Emile was the age of my daughter, Ashley and Amy was Kelly's age. When Amanda was born, I admired how Amy was just like a young mother taking care of her. She has always been so loving and caring. To be taken from everyone at her young age is almost too much to bear. All I can say is that just the time that I knew her she was such an amazing person and will be missed so much by her family and everyone who knew her. I'm sure she will be taking care of everyone in heaven and watching from above taking care of her family here below. God called her and her sweet baby Adeline back to him for some unknown reason we will never understand. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Lynn, Loretta and family, I was heartbroken to hear this tragic news about Amy and the baby! I know how close you all are and how much and often you all have helped with the twins and all the grandchildren and what excitement there was anticipating this new pink bundle! While none of us can understand God's plan, I hope you can find some comfort in our deep faith and His promise of everlasting life. Amy is most certainly with her baby as your family's newest and best guardian angels. Wishing you peace and love and brighter days ahead.
