Michelle Ann "Mikie" Krek of Cecil Township, formerly of South Fayette, died tragically along with her baby boy, Logan, Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Grace and Michael Gima and paternal grandparents, Steve and Mary Krek.
She is survived by her parents, Butch and Bernadette "Bernie" Gima Krek; brother Butch "Bue" Krek; and sister Danielle "Danni" Krek (Jason Sarver).
Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved dogs, Penny and Josie.
Michelle was a 2001 graduate of South Fayette and received her master's degree from Robert Morris University. She was employed for nearly 12 dedicated years at Tigg Corp. as a sales service manager for carbon filtration systems and prior worked for many years at BP.
"Mikie" was truly one of a kind and the anchor to her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out, funny, one of the kindest souls with a heart of gold, loyal and would do absolutely anything for anyone. Both compassionate and charismatic, she would just light up any room she was in. She was beyond excited to be a mom to her baby boy, Logan. May they be in heaven with the dear grace, and may her light continue to shine on her loved ones. She will forever be missed and loved by everyone whose heart she touched.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Barbara Church, 45 Prestley Road, Bridgeville. Guests are asked to meet at the church.

Joe and I are so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Mikie and baby Logan. It has been an honor to be Mikie's friend for 20 plus years. Mikie's love of her family and friends was so very strong and true. She loved with her whole heart and she was giving and honest and a blessing to all who knew her and loved her. Mikie made the world a better place. We will miss her more than words can say and I know she and Logan will forever live in our hearts. We love you Mikie and baby Logan. May you both rest in God's arms now in peace, love and eternal happiness. Until we meet again my dear friend.
Love always,
