CURRAN
John J. "Jack" 95 of Clifton died Saturday, April 25, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he resided in Nutley before moving to Clifton 35 years ago. Jack had been employed as an expeditor for Leslie's Controls in Parsippany prior to his retirement. He is a US Coast Guard Veteran of WWII who served aboard the USS Spencer. Jack is a member of American Legion Post #8 and the Athenia Veterans Post both in Clifton and Lions International. He was a parishioner of St. Mary RC Church in Nutley. Jack is predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Weyersberg), by a granddaughter, Audrey Lynn Cannata-Drache and by a brother, Joseph Curran. He is survived by a daughter, Joanne Cannata and husband Jerry of Butler, by a great-grandson, Kevin T. Drache of Stockholm, by a nephew, Joseph Curran and wife Pat of Langhorn, PA and by many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Wednesday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8PM. Memorial donations to Murray House, c/o D.P.D., P.O. Box 2539, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438 are preferred to flowers. www.allwoodfuneralhome.com

My condolences to Jack's family. What a wonderful person. A top Quality man. I was lucky enough to meet Jack 16 years ago when I became his neighbor in the same apt building. He soon became like family and has been like a grandfather to me over the years. I know you are in a good place and God is taking care good of you. Thank you for everything.
