Late of Millbrae and San Mateo County resident for 49 years. Entered into rest in Millbrae on August 10, 2016 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Walter F. Ramseur for 25 years and the late Donald F. Griffin for 30 years. Loving mother of John Griffin of San Mateo, Mary Griffin Eid (Jeffrey) of Danville and Zachary Griffin (Peggy) of Oakland. Loving grandmother of Francis, Jo and Grant Griffin, Griffin Eid, Elizabeth Eid Owen (Rodney), Harrison Eid and Mercy Nakibuuka Eid. Loving stepmother of Gail Griffin Sredanovic of Menlo Park, Shari Ramseur and Steve Ramseur of Oregon.
A native of Yuba City, California. Age 84 years.
Kindergarten teacher at Frederick Burke School, SF and Skyline School, South SF. Served in elected public office 26 years, first on Millbrae City Council and then San Mateo County Board of Supervisors. Past President Association of Bay Area Governments, past Chair Metropolitan Transportation Commission, past member SF Airport Round Table, past President Nickerson Family Association, Chatam, MA. Founding Board Member, Hiller Aviation Museum, Board Member, SF Airport Museum. Member Millbrae Lions Club and Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Celebration of Life Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 10 am, First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame, 1500 Easton Drive, Burlingame. In lieu of flowers, donations welcomed to Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo, www.sanmateo4cs.org, or Hiller Aviation Museum, www.hiller.org.

Mary was a wonderful lady. Walt and
Mary were my landlords when I lived in San Mateo around 20 years ago or so. She was always extremely kind to us. I will always remember her for that. My love goes out to her family.

So sorry to hear about Mary. My best to her family. We were on the board of directors at Hiller Aviation Musuem for many years together and always found her a delight and positive in all circumstances... I know she will be missed by many folks. RIP Mary....

So sorry to hear of Ms. Griffin's passing. She was one of the many wonderful teachers I had at Skyline Elem. School. Her smile along with her kind and giving heart Will never be forgotten. Thank you Ms. Griffin for your many years of service. You will be fondly remembered. RIP..
