NAPERVILLE - Patricia "Pat" Lambert (nee Wheeler), age 84, a lifelong resident of Naperville, IL, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. She was born June 26, 1930 in Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Walter E. "Bud" Lambert, whom she married September 2, 1950 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville and who preceded her in death February 4, 2014, dear mother of Mary Elizabeth Gresk of Warrenville, IL, Pamela (David) Briggs of Naperville, Gregory (the late Lisa) Lambert of Plano, IL and Thomas (Cindy) Lambert of Plainfield, IL, adored grandmother of Meghan (Mike) Mulhern, Emily (Chris) Tompkins and Sarah (Nathaniel) Kuhn; Courtney (Tom) Galindo, Caroline and Laura (fiance, Michael Pharo) Briggs; Trisha, Gregory, Molly, Michael, Jennie and Nicholas Lambert; Samuel Valdez, cherished great-grandmother of Christopher Muckey, Sydney and Rowan Mulhern, Kendall Tompkins and Brady Galindo, devoted daughter of the late Edward M. and Mildred (nee Patton) Wheeler, dear sister of the late Donald P. (Sally) Wheeler and the late Suzanne (the late Gordon) Justman, sister-in-law of Charles R. (Connie) Lambert of Houston, TX, fond aunt and great-aunt of many. Pat moved to Naperville as a first grader and attended SS. Peter & Paul Grade School (Class of 1944) and Naperville Community High School (Class of 1948) where she was a drum major. She was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Naperville and for many years, Pat would gather each year with her former SS. Peter & Paul School classmates to commemorate their first communion. She taught private baton lessons, enjoyed entertaining and was an avid and skilled bridge player. Visitation Sunday, July 27, 2:00-6:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin Monday, July 28, 10:30 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to an 11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
