Rachelle Godfread Obituary

Rachelle Lee Godfread
Evansville, Ind.
Rachelle Lee Godfread, 44, passed away January 15, 2014. She was born May 18, 1969, in Elkhart, to Adam and Rosa (Harris) Bossnack.
Surviving are two sons, Michael John Godfread and Joseph Scott Godfread, both of Evansville; her parents; four siblings, Adam V. (Carla) Bossnack, Melissa (Devin) Nuner, Christina (Travis) Snider, and John (Angie) Bossnack. Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews.
Rachelle graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1987, was on their swimming team as well as Christiana Creek Country Club's team and even went to state. While at the University of Evansville she was a cheerleader and in the Phi Mu Sorority. She was an all-around athletic person. She was enrolled in a nursing program in the past and has substituted for Vanderburgh School Corporation in Evansville and Elkhart Community Schools.
More recently she was to begin a career with American Airlines as a flight attendant. She was also fluent in Spanish and German. Rachelle enjoyed many things such as: rescue animals, music, movies, dancing, swimming and traveling. While traveling she lived in Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Africa, England, and France. More than anything she was an amazing mother, being their #1 fan at sporting events, supporting and protecting them, and cherishing the time she spent with them. She lived and breathed for her children and will be missed by so many.
Visitation for Rachelle will be noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. There will not be a burial following the service. Memorial contributions may be given at Old National Bank through United Way and Teachers Credit Union through Martin's Supermarket. These donations will benefit Rachelle's boys, Michael and Joseph. Because of her love for animals donations can also be made to Elkhart County Humane Society or Vanderburgh Humane Society in Evansville, Ind. For online condolences please visit www.wmzfh.com. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Rachelle and I were good friends at UE. We let our firstborn sons play together and shared tips on motherhood. She was a beautiful, sweet, person and a very devoted mother. Praying for peace for her boys and family.
