Hugh and Ruth were wonderful people! I had the privilege of working for them in Arizona. Gracious, talented, intelligent, adventurous, kind, caring, as was their family I met too. Their love for each other and their children and grandchildren showed every day . May they RIP and continue their new adventures!

Hugh Downs was a wonderful person in many ways. He told the news in a very heartwarming and caring manner and was always a gentleman. I loved watching him on the Today and Tonight shows. The journalism field has lost a giant. May you accept my sympathy and wish for peace and comfort from the God of tender mercies.
