Devin Lima Obituary

(1977 - 2018)
Devin Lima (born Harold Lima),one of the singers in the popular pop trio LFO, died Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from cancer at the age of 41.

He joined the band in 1999, replacing original member Brian Gillis. The band changed their name from Lyte Funky Ones to LFO and recorded material with Danny Wood of New Kids on the Block.

Their single “Summer Girls,” released in the summer of 1999, was a summer anthem hit song. The single reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

LFO’s debut album “LFO,” sold over 2.5 million copies and included another top ten hit, “Girls on TV.” They toured and opened for Brittany Spears.

The band released a second album “Life Is Good” in 2001 but the release had lackluster sales. They broke up in 2002 and briefly reunited in 2009 but disbanded again when member Rich Cronin passed away in 2010 from leukemia at the age of 35.

Lima and remaining original member Brad Fischetti reformed LFO in 2017, releasing the single “Perfect Ten.”
