I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS A 11 YEAR OLD BOY. MY FATHER TOOK ME TO SEE THE DOLPHINS AGAINST THE COLTS AT MEMORIAL STADIUM IN BALTIMORE BACK IN DECEMBER 1975. THE DOLPHINS LOST THAT GAME BELIEVE IT OR NOT THAT DAY. AFTER THE GAME ENDED, I WALKED OUT ONTO THE FOOTBALL FIELD & SPOTTED NICK BUONICONTI NUMBER # 85. I YELLED OUT HIS NAME BUT HE DID NOT ANSWER ME. HOWEVER, I KNEW HE HEARD MY VOICE! HE WAS THE BEST LINEBACKER IN THE GAME! I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A DOLPHINS FAN EVER SINCE THAT PERFECT...

I only met him once at a party hosted by Roy Boe who was my law client. Nick had just received his law degree. We spent a long time talking about the law practice and representing professional athletes. I was so impressed by his genuineness....having met many professional athletes. I wish I had followed up with him. How wonderful how he soldiered on after that awful injury to his son...and raised so much money for the effort to deal with paralysis. I wish his family the very best but know the...

I am so sorry for the loss of Nick. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

Our family extends our condolences to the family of Nick Buoniconti. His life and impact on the game of football and medical research will forever be remembered. He seemed to have been a larger than life individual who I am certain will be dearly missed.

We pray that you all are comforted by your memories and the promise of seeing him again under better conditions.
