To Zachariah's Family:
Was so sorry to learn of Zachariah's passing. I am a William and Mary Flex MBA Program professor and had the pleasure of having Zachariah in my class last summer (2014). He was a joy to have in the class....engaged, polite, interested, and motivated. I am sure you will miss him deeply.....as will we at William and Mary. May God give you comfort. My deepest condolences to the family. Zack and I worked together at Norfolk Southern when he first became a supervisor. We talked a great deal about our families and although I have never met any of you I feel that I know you. My fondest memory of Zack is on one particular day we had to go over to Portsmouth about a car door that would not close. It was a hot and humid summer day and after examination Zack felt we needed to use a 20 pound sledge hammer to free the door. Keep in mind I am 30 years his senior but guess who swung the hammer. With each blow Zack kept saying "hit it right there" or "hit it again right there" and of course it didn't take long before I was spent. Afterwards we laughed about the fact that the old guy did the heavy work. I couldn't wait to get back to the shop to tell everyone but each time he would twist it in his favor. Zach was a great guy, God Bless you all.
